TÜV collaborates with testing industry on new US tech lab

TÜV Rheinland is set to form strategic alliances with electronics testing companies including Ametek and Rohde & Schwarz as part of a new Massachusetts-based tech lab.

TÜV Rheinland’s North America branch is building the new technology and innovation center, a state-of-the-art facility spanning 20,000 square feet.

The certification specialist hope that the center will serve as “a dynamic hub for comprehensive trainings, advanced laboratory testing, and collaborative office space.”

Ametek, Rohde & Schwarz alongside other testing and test equipment companies will contribute to the tech center by providing state-of-the-art equipment and training programs conducted by field experts at the site.

"We are thrilled to join forces with renowned industry players, as this collaboration empowers us to offer our customers an extensive range of advanced equipment and training,” said Jonathan Kotrba, TÜV Rheinland North America’s vice president for products, during the 2023 IEEE International Symposium on EMC+SIPI held in Michigan.

“Manufacturers can now conduct comprehensive EMC testing, optimize their product development processes by reducing time-to-market, and ensure compliance with industry standards."

The training sessions will take place starting in 2024 and “will equip participants with invaluable theoretical and practical insights into the latest testing methodologies and techniques. By acquiring these knowledge and skills, they will be well-prepared to design and manufacture cutting-edge electronic products.”
