SGS appoints new global connectivity executive

Leading certification company SGS has announced the appointment of a new executive in its global connectivity division.

According to SGS, Fred Yang has been appointed vice president for global connectivity. Yang, who holds a BA Degree in telecommunication from the California Polytechnic State University, has worked in electronic products and connectivity industries for more than 20 years, holding a number of leading roles at testing, inspection and certification (TIC) companies.

Charles Ly Wa Hoi, SGS executive vice president, connectivity and products, said: “We are delighted to appoint Fred to the role of Vice President, Global Connectivity. Fred’s proven expertise in the connectivity industry, as well as his successful path in mergers and acquisitions, will be instrumental in developing our business. He will first focus on North America and Europe with the support of our strong operations in Asia.”
