The extension means that developers building IoT devices with Nordic’s Bluetooth Low Energy (LE)-enabled chipsets will have access to Memfault’s cloud-based monitoring, debugging, and updating capabilities.
According to the San Francisco start-up, the updated integration gives nRF52 and nRF53 Series developers an out-of-the-box integration of the Memfault platform.

According to Memfault, building devices that utilize Bluetooth LE introduces unique performance and debugging challenges that make access to field diagnostic data critical to delivering a successful product.
These challenges include wireless range and communication stability in real-world environments, and connection handshaking and performance with varied Bluetooth LE gateways and mobile devices.
Memfault’s IoT reliability platform works by capturing relevant metrics and issue data remotely from the devices operating in development or production. It also develops fixes or improvements, and monitors updates across hardware and software releases.
