IoT device interoperability has expanded hugely in the last year thanks in large part to the launch of the Matter 1.0 standard.
UL is already authorized as a third-party test house for the Matter 1.0 standard and certification program. Matter was launched last autumn by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), an international alliance of more than 550 tech companies including Amazon, Apple, Google and Samsung.
