The challenges of testing and certifying AI in electronics

In this video, Martin Saerbeck, CTO for digital service at TÜV SÜD, discusses the challenges of regulating artificial intelligence in consumer electronics.

Saerbeck talks about the Artificial Intelligence Act currently being developed by the EU, due to come into force in 2025.

“Artificial intelligence will become a test object and thus a case for TÜV SÜD,” said the technology lead at the multinational certification and testing specialist.

Saerbeck said the testing specialist is working on how to distinguish “good AI from bad AI” and “how to certify AI according to objective criteria.”
