How to make sure IoT devices are cybersecure

Global certification company SGS' Kai-Fan Chang educates IoT device makers on the regulations and security they need to build into their devices.

While many Internet of Things (loT) device developers have products that are connected to a network or interact with other devices, they may not always be aware of all cybersecurity requirements for their devices.

As a result, consumers may buy IoT devices that are not secure, risking their cyber safety and as a result, potentially damaging the developer’s brand.

In this brief explainer, Kai-Fan Chang, chief operating officer for SGS Brightsight, talks about best practice to ensure IoT device are tested and cyber-safe.
