Waygate to host NDT forum in Hamburg

Non-destructive testing experts Waygate Technologies are holding a forum in the Hamburg region of Germany later this year focusing on X-ray and computed tomography (CT).

The 'Global X-ray & CT Forum' will be the 19th such event run by Waygate and is taking place on 10-12 September 2024.

According to Waygate, the event will feature user group meetings offer in-depth guidance on using Waygate’s NDT tools.

X-ray and CT technology are both popular form of NDT, which is a form of testing that ensures that the tested part remains in tact.

In consumer electronics, NDT is most commonly used for testing electronic sub-components and printed circuit boards (PCBs).

According to Waygate, topics to be tackled at the forum include: X-ray and CT technology system, software, and hardware updates; electronics inspection case studies; and 3D metrology with CT.

There will also be a tour of Waygate’s Ahrensburg production plant, and in-depth system- and software workshops. Waygate is also looking for speakers and sent out a call for papers as part of its promotion for the event. For more information visit here.
