US demand fuels rise in digital inspection market

The market for digital inspection technologies and services is expected to reach $27.3 billion by 2024, a new report revealed.

According to the study published by ReportLinker, digital inspection technologies are witnessing increasing adoption for inspection of electrical and electronic assemblies as well as electrical components such as solenoids and fuses.

Manufacturing remains the primary user of the technology, the report said.

Market growth is also supported by the increasing demand for inspection, storage and recording of test results, and an ongoing shift from paper-based inspection methods to digital platforms, the report noted.

It is also being helped by an increase in demand for metrology technologies because of the growing need for accurate inspection of complex 3D products and growing focus on quality control.

The largest regional market for digital inspection is the US, which accounts for an estimated 26.5 percent share of the global market.

The US market is expected to be worth $8.1 billion by 2024.
