UL and Lenovo open China benchmarking lab

UL Solutions and tech giant Lenovo have opened a joint lab in Shanghai for the testing of PCs.

The laboratory at the Lenovo Innovation and Technology Park in Shanghai will be for the testing of UL Procyon, the certification company’s new benchmark suite for PC users working in business and other professional capacities.

The UL Procyon benchmark suite offers a range of benchmarks and performance tests for professional users. Each benchmark is designed for a specific use case and uses real applications where possible.

UL said it is working closely with its industry partners to ensure that every Procyon benchmark is “accurate, relevant and impartial.”

The opening was attended by leaders from both companies including: including Haisha Tian, global key account director of UL Solutions; Jian Bing, business manager of UL Benchmarking Asia Pacific; Ma Chaochun, vice president of Consumer and SME Notebook Development Center at Lenovo Group; and Wu Weiyi, director of R&D Product Assurance and Certification at Lenovo Group.
