TÜV Rheinland inaugurates Shenzhen operation hub

TÜV Rheinland has formally opened its new Greater Bay Area (Shenzhen) Operation Hub in South China.

Spanning approximately 15,000 sq m, the Greater Bay Area (Shenzhen) Operation Hub delivers state-of-the-art testing and certification services that cater to sectors essential to the region’s development. These sectors include new energy batteries, energy storage systems, sensors, information technology and 5G equipment, smart home appliances, lighting devices, healthcare, as well as chemical and microbial testing.

This is TÜV Rheinland's largest investment project in South China over the past five years. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr Michael Fübi, Chairman of the Executive Board of the TÜV Rheinland Group, alongside the company’s top management, local government officials, and representatives from various external partners.

Dr Fübi highlighted the strategic role of the new operation hub. “The Greater Bay Area (Shenzhen) Operation Hub represents a pivotal component of our regional strategy,” said Dr Fübi. “It will serve as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and growth. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, we will continue to offer regulatory testing services for consumer products. Our ultimate goal is to support our clients with the technical expertise and solutions they need to thrive on the global stage. Thereby empowering businesses across the Greater Bay Area to reach global standards and drive future innovation.”
