The Electrical Products division covers certification and audit services for a wide range of products such as batteries, electronic components, household appliances, power tools, lighting and LED systems, energy storage solutions, and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).

With more than 15 years of experience in the testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) sector, including a previous tenure at TÜV Rheinland Brazil, Martins has held various strategic roles in commercial, operational, and certification areas.

Now back at TÜV Rheinland, Martins will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the division, with an emphasis on sustainable growth, financial performance, and team leadership. His priorities include the expansion of ANATEL certification services, revenue growth, and increased collaboration across business units. He will also lead the expansion of the Salto (SP) laboratory and ensure compliance with INMETRO regulatory requirements. Additionally, he will serve as the main point of contact with key industry associations, including INMETRO, ANATEL, and ABRAC, fostering institutional relationships and representing TÜV Rheinland in regulatory and technical forums.

“Taking on the leadership of the Electrical Products Division at such a promising time for the sector is a unique opportunity. I want to actively contribute to the sustainable growth of TÜV Rheinland in the region, promoting innovation, technical excellence, and closer ties with our clients and partners,” said Martins.

Based in São Paulo, Martins will report directly to Frank Holzman, global director of the Electrical Products division at TÜV Rheinland.

“South America is a strategic region for TÜV Rheinland’s business, and we believe that combining local knowledge with global expertise is key to expanding our presence with consistency and innovation. Igor embodies exactly this profile, and we are confident his leadership will deliver significant results for the region and ensure added value for our clients,” said Holzman.
