Over 5,000 companies were evaluated based on factors such as external sustainability ratings and commitments, corporate reporting practices and environmental and social stewardship.
SGS’s high score is supported by its ambitious decarbonization target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, as verified by the Science Based Targets initiative. Additional factors include its implementation of energy efficiency projects, use of renewable energy for 97% of its total consumption, adherence to the UN Global Compact, inclusion in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook and recognition by CDP as a leading company. SGS is committed to diversity, with 31.9% of leadership positions held by women.
