Géraldine Picaud, who was appointed CEO earlier this year, announced a streamlined executive committee of 12 members, including Marta Vlatchkova, who will join as CFO in early May.

According to SGS, the company’s testing and inspection services will be managed through five regions, while certification will be managed as one global activity, named business assurance. Regional heads have been appointed for the five testing regions: Asia Pacific; Europe; Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa; North America; and Latin America.

Jeff McDonald will continue as head of business assurance, SGS said. Other appointments to the committee include Martin Oesch as group general counsel, with Jessica Sun continuing as head of group human resources.

Picaud said: “The appointment of our new executive committee marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for SGS. It underlines our commitment to seize the many opportunities created by the market megatrends in sustainability, digital, supply chains and regulations, as well as by the strong fragmentation of our industry.

“It also demonstrates our renewed focus on growth, innovation and accountability and will guide SGS’s operations towards higher efficiency and effectiveness.”
