Rohde & Schwarz debuts test receiver at EMC conference

Test equipment maker Rohde & Schwarz is showcasing its new EMI test receiver at a major European electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing conference this week.

EMV 2023 an international trade fair dedicated to EMC testing and compliance and is taking place March 28-30 in Stuttgart, Germany.

Rohde & Schwarz will use the event to demonstrate its R&S EPL 1000 EMI test receiver. The R&S EPL 1000 is CISPR 16-1-1 compliant and suitable for certification measurements, the company said.

According to Rohde & Schwarz, the test receiver rapid domain scan allows it to check all frequencies in CISPR bands A or B in a single shot “for quick and seamless measurements over extended periods of time.”

The instrument also features a user friendly GUI that makes it easier for EMC engineers to quickly find infrequent emissions and gain a good overview.

Other features on the device include: a pulse protected input; an autoranging function to prevent the overloading of the signal processing chain; and built-in preselection to ensure a high dynamic range and enabling the acquisition of short pulses.

The R&S EPL1000 supports product certification, precertification, measurements during product development phases and market surveillance, the company said.

The new EMI test receiver can be viewed at the Rohde & Schwarz booth in hall 2 at EMV 2023.
