RAPA establishes Anritsu 5G-Advanced & 6G test lab in Korea

The Korea Radio Promotion Association (RAPA) has established the Anritsu 5G-Advanced & 6G Test Lab" at its Song-do IoT Technical Support Center in Incheon, Korea, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between RAPA and Anritsu Company defining their mutual cooperation on the 5G-Advanced/6G.

The Test Lab is equipped with Anritsu’s latest 5G/6G verification testers (MT8000A with frequency extension for 6G), Wi-Fi 7 testers (MT8862A) and Vector network analyzers. It is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of 6G technology while revitalizing the industry by validating the technology of the candidate frequency bands for 5G-Advanced and 6G, that is, FR3 (7 GHz to 24 GHz).

Jungsu Song, vice-chairman of RAPA, said: “The Anritsu 5G-Advanced & 6G Test Lab will provide a comprehensive verification environment and verification services for 5G-Advanced and 6G next-generation communication technologies, and will help 5G/6G-related companies to speed their market entry.”
