Radiant to launch new tech at California event

Test equipment maker Radiant Vision plans to use the upcoming Display Week exhibition to launch new visual inspection technology.

Radiant said it will showcase seven product demonstrations of its camera, lens, and software solutions at the event taking place in early May in San Jose, California.

The technology applications range from evaluating the quality of augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) displays, capturing absolute values of brightness and color from areas as small as a subpixel, and ensuring the integrity of device surfaces and markings.

The company are also sponsoring a special Display Metrology Course, hosted by the Society for Information Display (SID) and the International Committee for Display Metrology (ICDM), which will begin the event.

The event, which will be in-person and online, is taking place at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center and will be hosted by SID, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.

Radiant said its booth will showcase “more ways to measure displays” with the launch of new solutions for ensuring display device quality from subpixel to surface.

The company said: “These new test and measurement systems integrate Radiant’s fundamental ProMetric imaging platform with technologies that broaden the color accuracy range and repeatability of ProMetric systems, as well as optimize them for use in precision surface inspection.”

As well as launching new technologies, Radiant will also be offering live demonstrations of its new XRE lens, released this March.

Display Week includes a technical program and exhibits focusing on a breadth of display technologies from OLEDs to wearables to extended reality (XR). It runs from May 8-13, with exhibit dates on May 10-12.
