New US facility to provide vacuum and leak testing services

Pfeiffer Vacuum has opened a new 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Indianapolis to provide
vacuum and leak detection solutions for consumer electronics.

The new facility will serve North American customers in “all technological questions around leak detection and high-vacuum technology,” Pfeiffer Vacuum said in a statement.

While serving consumer electronics companies, the building will also focus on semiconductor applications, medical devices, pharmaceutical, and automotive industries.

The new building includes a CNC machine shop and modular assembly bays to support air and helium leak detection as well as custom engineered vacuum systems.

It also features a new application laboratory known as the Leak Detection Center of Excellence where customers can have parts tested on leak detection technologies including air, helium and hydrogen test methods. and determine which is the best for their application.

In addition to the leak detection center, Pfeiffer Vacuum has also established a custom engineered vacuum solutions team to provide engineering, designing, manufacturing and training.

The team can help customers utilize the companies range of vacuum products, including pumps, pressure gauges, gas analyzers, leak detectors as well as a complete line of fittings, valves and custom chambers.
