Live webinar with Atlas – UV- and Weather Resistance of Electronics – Testing of Products and Components

Modern electronics contain a multitude of organic and polymeric components, ranging from seals, housings and covers to active components like liquid crystals and OLEDs. Those components can degrade or alter functionality by the influences of the environment, especially by solar radiation (natural or artificial), heat and moisture.

Consumer Electronics Test & Development will host a live free-to-attend webinar event in partnership with Atlas Material Testing Solutions on Tuesday 17 September 2024 to address these effects and provide information and methods on how these issues can be tested during product development.

The webinar, entitled UV- and Weather Resistance of Electronics – Testing of Products and Components, will help you:

  • to understand environmental stress factors (UV in combination with heat and moisture) for your electronic product
  •           to test the environmental stability of your electronic product
  •          to improve product durability.

Delegates will learn:

  •          Primary weather factors and their influence on material degradation
  •          Which part of electronic products might be affected by weathering
  •         Natural and accelerated testing (weathering) of electronic products
  •          Test methods and standards
  •          How to balance correlation and acceleration
