Capstone smart mirror program underway thanks to FCC EMC certification

Capstone Companies, a designer and manufacturer of consumer inspired products that simplify daily living through technology, has announced that it has been informed that FCC EMC testing for its Smart Mirror program has been completed and certification will be formalized next week (w/c October 18).

The Capstone Connected Smart Mirror performs functions similarly to a tablet and smartphone with both touchscreen and voice interfacing, internet access and an operating system capable of running downloadable applications.

The mirror allows users to access voice assistance, check traffic and weather, stream entertainment, listen to music, access social media feeds and more, simply expanding today’s connected lifestyles.

Stewart Wallach, Capstone’s Chairman and CEO, stated, “The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic contributed to delays in completing production and then testing and certification of the Smart Mirror. Processes that normally would have completed in weeks or a few months took significantly longer.

“In my 35 years creating, producing, and testing new consumer products, I have never experienced as many delays and setbacks in a product launch as experienced by us over the past 18 months for the Smart Mirror. Every conceivable obstacle has been put before us. I am proud of our management team and directors that have stood firm in supporting our product initiatives through the unanticipated delays and setbacks for this company-critical product line. We will aggressively pursue the production and release of the Smart Mirror program in Q4 2021.”
